Delia "Biddy" Greene
The woman on the right is Delia Greene from County Roscommon, Ireland. It was taken in1922 in Central Park. NYC. Delia came to America in 1912 at the age of 16. Her uncle was to put Delia on the Titanic but they got to Queenstown late and the ill-fated ship had already sailed. Delia didn't know it at the time but she would soon be my mother. Delia and Patrick Beglane were married on Oct. 25,1925 in St. Ignacius Loyola Church and lived in Woodside, Queen, The 2nd photo was taken by Celtic Park Gardens. My mother and my 5 older brothers. I was born in 1935 and one more after me. Patrick, from County Sligo, passed away April 21, 1983 at 86 and Delia on September 2, 1991 at 95.
